Strong Strikes. Real Cardio. A Gym That Teaches More Than the Bag.

This is What You Came For

This isn't a choreographed cardio class that you might find at Orange Theory or Planet Fitness. From the first session it's actual technique — stance, combinations that build on each other, footwork that starts making sense faster than you'd expect. The bag work is real. The conditioning that follows is too.

After a few weeks, the changes are hard to miss. Your cardio improves faster than it did on a machine. Your shoulders and core are working differently. You start showing up on Monday evenings because you want to, not because you scheduled it.

Walking back to your car after a class, there's something else — a quiet confidence that emerges from doing something that you know is functional. You feel fulfilled building applicable strength while learning how to strike properly. Most people don't expect to leave a fitness class with an actual skill. That's the difference

Fitness KickBoxing is one of the better things you can do for your body. Real striking technique, real conditioning, and a reason to push that goes beyond a step count. If your goal is to get fit and learn to strike properly, you're in the right place.

Two paths. Both valid.

Fitness KickBoxing at KMNY is a real striking class. Davide runs it Monday evenings at 6pm and Friday mornings at 8:30, and it shows in the room — combinations, footwork, bag work, conditioning. Members who train consistently come out stronger, sharper, and in better shape than when they started.

For a lot of people, that's exactly what they came for. If your goal is fitness, stress relief, and learning to throw a proper punch, kickboxing alone is excellent.

The question worth asking is whether you also want to know what to do when someone else throws one at you.

If you're looking to get fit, improve your cardio, and pick up real striking technique — Fitness KickBoxing is the class. It's demanding (in a fun way), skill-based, and gives you something most gym routines don't: a reason to show up that isn't just a number on a scale.

If you want the fitness and the self-defense — pair it with Krav Maga. Not to replace kickboxing, but to fill the gap it leaves. Krav Maga picks up where bag work ends: grabs, ground defense, close-range threats, the situations that don't come with rules or a referee. The two programs train different things, and together they cover more ground than either one alone.

A lot of our members train both. They use kickboxing for conditioning and Krav Maga for the practical piece. Neither competes with the other. They stack.

If you're not sure which path fits — start with kickboxing. You'll know pretty quickly whether you want to add more.

Good Alone. Better Together.

The Brewster Train Station parking lot on a Tuesday night. You've done this commute a hundred times. It's dark, the lot is half-empty, and before you reach your car someone steps into your path.

You've been coming to Fitness KickBoxing for months. Your cardio is sharp, your form is cleaner than it's ever been, and you can throw combinations without thinking. That's real — none of it disappears.

But a striking class trains you to hit. It doesn't train you for what happens when someone grabs you from behind, pins you against your car, or takes you to the ground before you can get your hands up. Those are different problems that need different training.

That's not a knock on kickboxing. It's just an honest read of what it's built for — and what it isn't.

Both paths start in the same gym. Here's what each one covers.

Features
Kickboxing
Krav Maga
Build striking power and technique
Improve cardio and conditioning
Defend against grabs and chokes
Ground defense
Real-world threat response
Burn carlories and overall fitness
Skills you keep for life
